“TigerBooking’s Strong Collaboration Effect… Captivating Golfers from the U.S. and Japan” 5/28/2025

Global golf tech company AGL (CEO Jim Huang)’s worldwide golf reservation platform TigerBooking is achieving growth in foreign customer acquisition and sales through Google. Analysis of golf travel bookings and behavior data of global golfers revealed that golfers from the United States and Japan are also using TigerBooking to book golf courses worldwide.

As of May this year (data collection period), TigerBooking has users from 205 countries, with overall bookings consisting of 57% Korean customers and 43% foreign customers. TigerBooking’s growth into a global golf reservation platform without separate overseas marketing owes much to Google’s contribution. About 44% of total bookings were made via Google’s online reservation system, and 57% of Google booking users were foreign customers.

Among foreign users, the United States rose four ranks compared to last year to become the top user country. It was a remarkable achievement that golfers from the country with the most golf courses used a Korean golf reservation platform for their golf travel. American golfers primarily booked golf courses in Europe, Cancun, and Los Cabos in Mexico, and surprisingly, also reserved popular golf courses in California through TigerBooking.

Japanese golfers, with over 2,000 golf courses in Japan, showed a strong interest in overseas golf travel, especially to Southeast Asian golf courses. Japan climbed four ranks compared to the previous year, ranking second in user numbers. The Philippines rose five ranks to fourth place, while Thailand dropped one rank to third. Vietnam fell two ranks to fifth place. The United Kingdom and Canada showed significant ranking increases, while India and Malaysia, which were in the top 10 last year, fell out of the rankings.

Mobile usage accounts for 80% of total users, highlighting the importance of mobile optimization strategies. By age group, users aged 45-54 made up 25% and those aged 55-64 made up 22%, together accounting for nearly half of all platform users. This aligns with the trend that middle-aged and older adults lead the domestic and international golf markets. About 70% of domestic users were aged 45-64, whereas 66% of foreign users were aged 25-54, indicating that the average age of global users is younger.

Analysis of TigerBooking usage by time of day worldwide showed that on weekdays, Tuesday (16.8%), Monday (16.1%), and Wednesday (16.1%) had the highest usage, while weekend usage was relatively lower, with Sunday at 11.5% and Saturday at 12.1%. Golfers tend to use TigerBooking and book golf trips mostly during weekdays, especially early in the week.

Usage times across Asia, North America, and Europe all showed active usage in the afternoon local time. Thanks to this global user distribution, TigerBooking experiences continuous global traffic and stable inflow and booking rates even during late-night hours in Korea.
