When visiting golf courses, the process of booking tee times is changing as players are now obligated to visit the clubhouse counter. With the integration of big data by companies connected to golf courses, there is a growing number of cases where tee times are connected through apps, facilitating contactless transactions. Global golf tech company AGL announced on the 8th that it has partnered with the Ramid Group, which operates Flamingo Country Club (CC) in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do, and Namyangju CC, to introduce the 'Tiger Pass' solution. Tiger Pass is a contactless mobile automated golf course high-pass system that automates the entire process of a round, from tee time reservation to check-in and check-out. As a result, locker numbers are automatically issued to golfers along with their reservations, and all usage fees are automatically paid. Golfers can complete their rounds using their smartphones without the need to visit the front desk, while golf courses can efficiently allocate manpower, enhancing both the convenience for golfers and the operational efficiency of the golf course through this mobile solution. After introducing it at the two golf courses, Ramid Group plans to integrate AGL's Tiger GDS into a total of five golf courses, including the newly opened Cheonan Gold Hill CC, MS Club in Uiseong, and Yangpyeong TPC, this year. In celebration of the adoption of the "Mobile High Pass" Tiger Pass at the two already implemented golf courses, a green fee discount of 10,000 won is currently being offered. Tiger GDS is a platform that connects golf courses and golfers worldwide in real-time, with a validated system in the global tee time distribution market through more than 1,000 golf courses in 170 regions across 21 countries. Tee times at affiliated golf courses are distributed to AGL's partner companies through Tiger GDS. AGL's domestic partners include airlines such as Asiana Airlines and Jeju Air, as well as travel agencies like Modetour and Hanatour. Additionally, leading companies from various fields, including Shinhan Bank, LG CNS, and LF Mall, coexist with HeyTeatime, a real-time golf course reservation platform worldwide, within AGL's network. Through AGL, not only Korean golfers but also golfers of various nationalities can reserve tee times at golf courses. Global OTAs and financial companies like Agoda, Trip.com, and Singapore UOB Travel are partnering with AGL. This diverse range of sales channels effectively attracts potential global customers to golf courses, resulting in golf courses naturally gaining multiple promotional marketing channels and synergy effects. An AGL official stated, "By joining forces with Lamid Group, a leading player in the domestic tourism and leisure industry, and AGL, which leads the digital transformation of the golf travel industry, we aim to bring about a new wave in the domestic golf course industry through Tiger solutions." They further added, "We will focus on enhancing services so that golfers can concentrate solely on their rounds with greater convenience, by improving operational efficiency of golf courses through Tiger solutions." Ramid Group plans to operate a total of 120 holes across various golf courses, including Flamingo CC with 39 holes, Yangpyeong TPC with 27 holes, MS Club Uiseong CC with 27 holes, Namyangju CC with 9 holes (scheduled to open 9 additional holes), and Cheonan Gold Hill CC with 18 holes (scheduled to open in 2024).
