Lord System, the operator of the mobile passport-based tourism and finance platform Trip Pass, announced on the 5th that it has signed an agreement promising to establish a golf reservation management system based on mobile passports with the golf tech company AGL. AGL, a domestic tourism venture company that developed the 'TIGER GDS' system connecting golf courses and golfers worldwide in real-time, supports a service that allows real-time reservations for over 1,200 golf courses in 23 countries, including Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia, through mobile devices. Through this agreement, Lord System and AGL will jointly develop a system that integrates the mobile passport system into AGL's golf reservation system, replacing manually entered passport information with mobile passport information during the booking process, and allowing users to use mobile passports for identity verification and payment at overseas golf courses. Lord System plans to integrate AGL's TIGER GDS system and mobile passport system within the first half of the year and open AGL's tee time reservation service within the Trip Pass platform. Lord System's Trip Pass platform is a platform that provides identity verification and prepaid card-based financial services to foreigners who use passports as identification by generating physical electronic passports into mobile passports. Jang Yang-ho, CEO of Lord System, said, "The integration of systems between the two companies will be a great opportunity to expand the service of identity verification through mobile passports, implemented with domestic technology, along with improving the convenience of tourism for increasing overseas golf users."
