(Myung-Sang Kim, BLOTER) AGL, specializing in golf IT Solutions, launched the golf course non face-to-face integrated operating system 'Tiger' and started targeting the market. Its strength is to help convenient reservations like airplane ticket reservations and convenient operation by introducing cloud-based GDS. AGL has said, "The introduction is under final testing at Raviebel CC in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and it is scheduled to roll out in early June." Tiger is a golf course operating system that covers everything from reservation and payment to management and marketing, and features real-time reservation, game operation, payment, non-face-to-face service, and score management into one platform. Golf courses that implement Tiger require no additional management personnel or expenses for the system. Tiger does not charge for purchase, maintenance, or usage fees, and everything operates on a cloud server, eliminating the need for separate computer servers and contributing to revenue improvement for the golf course. AGL stated, "By adopting Tiger, we can save costs equivalent to 5.7% of the average golf course revenue compared to the existing operating system." Operating it is also incredibly simple. Locker assignments can be made in advance by sending a text message to reservation customers with a QR code. Reservation information can be checked in real-time at the golf course, and tee times are automatically generated. Options like caddies, lockers, and carts can be allocated based on preferences. Non-contact check-in is facilitated through an automatic check-in process when golfers arrive, eliminating the need for front desks or kiosks. As golfers start their game, real-time course locations are displayed, and score data is also stored. When establishing a website payment system for golf courses, payments are processed simultaneously with reservations, which helps stabilize revenue and minimize risks associated with cancellations and changes. Payments can be made at the golfer's convenience, whether it's during reservation, during the game, or at check-out. The system supports various payment methods, including card payments, points, and gift cards, with the option for individual settlements. Operational data is provided as statistical information, and it also allows for customer-specific marketing solutions based on big data. Additionally, golf courses can optimize revenue by configuring tee times and fees in various ways. Recognizing the distinctiveness of this business model, AGL, the developer, secured a series A investment of 3.5 billion KRW in March. Leading venture capital firms in South Korea, Korea Investment Partners, and K2 Investment Management jointly participated in the investment. Hwang Jinkook, CEO of AGL, stated, "Through this investment, AGL aims to lay the foundation for its domestic and international business goals. We want Tiger to be a win-win solution for golf courses, golfers, and B2C operators." Sources : BLOTER(http://www.bloter.net) |
