Global golf tech company AGL has partnered with Shinhan Card and entered the overseas golf reservation service.

Since the 1st of last month, AGL has started the worldwide golf course reservation service through the Shinhan Card All That App. As a result, Shinhan Card customers can access the AGL affiliate page through the overseas golf service within the All That App to reserve their desired golf course, date, and tee time. When booked with Shinhan Card, 3% of the total payment amount is accumulated as My Shinhan Points.

In the overseas golf course booking reservation service of Shinhan Card's All That App, golf courses throughout Japan, including those in Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, which are frequently visited by domestic golfers, as well as prestigious golf courses worldwide such as Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, USA, where the US Women's Open, a major LPGA Tour event, was held last year, Le Golf National in France, where this year's Paris Olympics golf competition is taking place, and golf courses in Ireland and Scotland, are available for reservation with Shinhan Card.

The collaboration between the two companies stems from efforts to capture customers interested in golf amid the increasing demand for overseas golf travel. AGL, the developer and operator of Tiger GDS, a global travel transaction system used for airline tickets and hotel reservations, has applied Tiger GDS to tee time reservations at golf courses worldwide. Currently, AGL supplies Tiger GDS to over 1,100 golf courses in more than 30 countries.

Expanding the travel booking system beyond hotels and airline tickets to include golf courses, AGL aims to continuously release more differentiated golf travel products in collaboration with Shinhan Card, not just satisfied with the service launch, to meet the golf travel needs of cardholders. Both companies expect to secure potential customers and increase brand awareness through this partnership.
