AGL’s 'Golf course high-pass system' TigerPay, attracts great interest from around the world 6/12/2023

There is a lot of interest in Tiger Pay, a future ‘golf course high pass’ that handles all processes unmanned while visiting a golf course. Tiger Pay, launched by golf technology company AGL, is receiving increasing attention as it is being serviced at ‘Seongmunan CC’ and ‘Wolsongri CC’ within HDC Resort in Wonju, Gangwon-do, as well as Goyang CC in northern Gyeonggi Province.

The reason it is called the 'high pass of the future' is because the locker number is issued to the golfer's mobile phone along with the golfer's internal organs, so there is no need to go through the front desk, and all fees are automatically paid, so you can check out even after a round without having to go through the front desk. Through word of mouth, it has concluded contracts with about 20 golf courses as a mobile solution that improves golfer convenience and golf course management efficiency. Golf courses in the metropolitan area as well as Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Jeju are showing great interest, and discussions are underway to expand Tiger Pay supply overseas, not just domestically.

AGL has completed a contract to provide the Tiger Pay system with a golf course in Guam, and is discussing the Tiger Pay service with golf courses in Europe beyond Asia, including Japan, Spain, and France.

The reason why many golf courses are active in introducing Tiger Pay is because after reservation, everything from golf course interior to settlement can be processed on the golfer's mobile phone, which increases golfer satisfaction. Golf courses also achieve various positive effects, such as increasing employee satisfaction by reducing employees' early morning attendance or late-night shifts, and providing discounts to golfers through reduced green fees resulting from cost savings.

Tiger Pay is a system that stably supports joining reservations and golf secretary services, which have become a new pattern of golf course use. For both practical MZ generation golfers as well as retired silver golfers, forming a team of four is very stressful, and it is not easy to match the desired date and time zone.

In addition to the effect of preventing no-shows, Tiger Pay also supports a mandatory 4-person reservation and stable group reservations, which has the effect of increasing sales by using up the remaining tee time at the golf course. An AGL official explained, “Tiger Pay functions as a means of increasing sales and promotional marketing for golf courses, and is a popular solution by adding a new experience for golfers who are familiar with the mobile environment.” He added, “An app manager mode, Tiger Pay’s specialized service, is provided for various customer variables that occur at the golf course at any moment, allowing immediate response to all on-site variables.”
